Biography:

Obi-Wan Kenobi is a central character in the Star Wars saga, first appearing in *Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope* (1977), played by Alec Guinness. Later, in the prequel trilogy, a younger Obi-Wan is portrayed by Ewan McGregor.

As a Jedi Master, Obi-Wan is a skilled warrior and mentor. In *Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith*, he faces the tragic turn of his Padawan, Anakin Skywalker, to the dark side. This culminates in a devastating lightsaber duel on Mustafar, leaving Anakin severely wounded and transforming into Darth Vader.

Following the events of *Revenge of the Sith*, Obi-Wan goes into hiding on Tatooine, watching over Anakin's son, Luke Skywalker, until he is ready to be trained in the ways of the Force. He guides Luke on his journey to becoming a Jedi Knight.
